About Bellefontaines' Jewellers

Bellefontaines' Jewellers was started in November 1946 by Dennis Dieu de Bellefontaine. Dennis' son, Gary Dieu de Bellefontaine, and his wife Mary, currently manage the business.

As we look to the future, Bellefontaines' are now proud to present the next generation of Bellefontaines, Anthony and Michael. They are currently being trained as they work within the shop. As they learn, please bear with them. If for any reason they are unable to answer all of your questions, please do not hesitate to ask to see Gary or Mary, and we'll be very happy to advise you personally. 

We carry out watch and clock repairs, valuations, jewellery repairs and manufacture. Most of our repair work is carried out on site in our workshops.  We have recently become an accredited service centre for Omega, Longines and Rado watches. However, we do use outworkers for certain specialised work.

We are here to help you choose that special gift for Christmas, christenings or any other occasion.

Our services

Clock and Watch Repairs

We are able to service and repair most types of clocks and watches, prices available on request. We have in stock a myriad of different straps and batteries which can generally be fitted while you wait.

Pressure Testing

We are able to pressure test watches to confirm their water resistant qualities. Upon completion of the test a certificate is issued giving you confidence that you can continue to shower, swim or dive whilst wearing your favourite time piece.

Engraving

We can personalise most items purchased from us. Items bought elsewhere can also be engraved, prices available on request.

Jewellery Manufacture and Repair

We can design and make jewellery to your own design using a comprehensive selection of gemstones and using all types of metal. We can also undertake repairs and renovations of most types of jewellery from silver chains to platinum set jewellery.

Plating

We can advise you on all your plating needs, prices available on request.

Restringing

We offer a comprehensive restringing service, details available on request.

Valuations

We undertake valuations for insurance, probate and resale purposes. We have 2 Institue Of Registered Valuers on the premises. Each valuation is a typewritten document which includes photographs of your jewellery.
